Education

Education is a top priority for many Hmong families. Much progress has been made in educational attainment since arriving in the United States. Traditionally reserved for sons and those with financial means, education now include young women pursuing roles outside of cultural and expected norms. Increasingly, Hmong women are leading the charge in education, becoming important pillars of the community.

Although achievement gaps remain, the Hmong people are committed to obtaining and exploring the educational opportunities before them.
